Easy Parking & Great Facilities for Families

We parked at the Upper Car Park (LE12 8TE), which is super convenient for families. It’s right next to toilets, a children’s playground, and picnic/BBQ areas. The playground has climbing frames, seesaws, swings, and wobbly bridges—plenty to keep little ones entertained before you even start exploring the park!

Scoot, Bike & Walk – Fun for All Ages

For our adventure, we did a circular walk—starting at the Upper Car Park, walking down to the Lower Car Park (LE12 8TA), and then looping back. The paths are well-maintained and great for kids on scooters or bikes, though some hills are a little steep, so parents should keep an eye out. It’s a lovely mix of woodland trails, open meadows, and stunning countryside views.

The Best Play Spots & a Magical Labyrinth
The Lower Car Park is another great stop for families. There’s a café with toilets, and another natural play area with logs for climbing. But the highlight for us was the labyrinth—a fun maze filled with Alice in Wonderland-themed wooden sculptures. My child absolutely loved running through it, discovering hidden carvings, and playing make-believe adventures!
