We had an amazing time at Wicksteed Park! This amusement park in Kettering, England, truly exceeded my expectations and turned out to be one of the best family outings we’ve ever had. What makes it even better is that entry to the park is completely free!

There are two large car parks with plenty of parking spaces on site. You just pay for parking before leaving—it’s a pay-on-foot system. For the exact parking fees, you can check their website: https://wicksteedpark.org/your-visit/car-park-prices/

The park is huge and beautifully designed, with plenty of open spaces, lakes, and gardens. One of the best things about Wicksteed Park is the variety of attractions it offers. There are many free playgrounds with diverse play structures, including climbing frames, tall slides, zip lines, swings, seesaws, and so much more. Kids can have a blast running around and exploring different areas.

Things to Note

One important thing to note is that some rides and attractions have height restrictions, especially the taller slides and the Tree Top Walk. It’s always a good idea to check before lining up.

The last time we went, we waited in line for a long time at the indoor astro slide. But when we got to the top, they measured the kids’ height and said it wasn’t enough, so they couldn’t play. We ended up wasting a lot of time. If you go, make sure to check the height requirements and other restrictions in advance to avoid waiting in line.
